...because the man never shuts up.

Plus, he's often present at high-level Republican schmooze-fests. Rush brags about these events, some of which have been attended by Bush and Cheney.

The Republicans take advantage of Rush's insecurity and willingness to suck up.

So, it's just one big vicious cycle of Rush furthering their every whim--out of the desire to be one of the kewl guys at the big-boy table.
