What do the "libruls" have to do with the Schiavo case?
Why do these pundits keep blaming this on the "libruls"?
This is a pile of shit created by the Repugs, for the Repugs and of the Repugs. Let them deal with it--because I certainly haven't seen an overabundance of anything right now from the Democrats except opinions that they should mind their own business. I certainly haven't seen interference.

3. Liberals are the Boogieman
It's like Satan. If you believe Satan can make you do bad things, you're not responsible for any bad thing you do. It's the Devil's fault. Samething for Republicans: blame liberals and have no part of responsibility.

Forget freewill. It's always Satan. Some people believe in personal responsibility and consequences but it's easy to always blame someone else for your own problems. The whole "the devil made me do it" argument. Sure the evil ones can bring the urges and temptations around but there is a thing called FREEWILL.

8. I think this is their achilles heel though
How many conservatives are watching this freak show in horror filling out their living wills with their spouses so Tom Delay doesn't knock on their door?
I would be thinking that the true conservatives right now are welcoming those damn activist judges for standing their ground against these loonies.
Perhaps we couldn't have planned anything better than what happened, we may not be the only ones fighting those wicked wing judges that shrubby wants to appoint anymore.:)

14. Exactly!
I hope the Dem leaders will be smart about this when it comes time to block some of Bush's appointments. They need to remind people, without mentioning Schiavo's name, that we have recently seen what happens when one party holds too much power in the three branches of government. As crazy as the populace has seemed lately, I think that Americans, in general, tend to like the checks and balances of our system and understand that it is dangerous for one party to hold too much power for too long. They might be ripe for a little Republican smackdown.

6. "libruls" is the all-encompassing demonizing word
if you're a religious nut, sane people are "lib'ruls"
if you're a racist, civil right activists are "lib'ruls"
if you're a sexist pig, feminists are "lib'ruls"
if you're a homophobe, gays and lesbians are "lib'ruls"
if you're a corporate crook, labor activists are "lib'ruls"
if you're a chickenhawk, peace activists are are "lib'ruls"
etc, etc, etc....

15. At least some people realize it
See. This is why it was smart for the democrats to stay out of it and let them hang themselves.

9. Nothing
This is "Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth" and "DeLay Talking Points" and "O'Reilly Factor" smear -- this is the Dobson, Scaife, Coors smear machine - just like the personal attacks on the Clintons and the Kerrys.

Look at David Brock's The Republican Noise Machine : Right-Wing Media and How It Corrupts Democracy.

10. The way I see it
Is they're blaming us because we're that invisible boogeyman. All they have to do is keep blaming us on THEIR mistakes and it'd always be us. As long as they never take credit for it and continue to blame us and them play the victim it'd always be like that. We're their version of the boogeyman.

Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 02:45 AM by AmyJCNJ
we can blame Jeb now.
"Well jeb had an opportunity to stop it but he did nothing"
We can promote the constitution party to the fundies and erode some of their "base".

why the f**k is everybody in the media focused on this?

The school shooting is way more important, imo.
