the grieving process
in 1992 i wrote the following poem. it perhaps might be recommended reading today for the terry schiavo "do not let her die" fringe.

the grieving process
begins ...
so often...
when we allow
ourselves
to face
the pain
of separation
loss
change
and incompleteness...

so often ...
incompleteness, change, separation..
hold us hostage
in a freezing
of emotions ...

released
through
our tears
when we allow ourselves
to face the pain ...

in a lasting
journey
of forgiveness
healing
and completeness...

written 1992)
