2. hard to say

I would have said NO a week or two ago... but now that the Reeptiles and the crazee media are showing no impulse control this week, I'd say there's a chance, albeit a slim one, for the USA to right itself.

It was going to happen anyway, the GOP explosion/implosion... but I think now it's sooner rather than later.

3. It seems to me the USA is already dead. No friends. Foreign debt

up to the moon. Seems our government has sold us out. The news media couldn't find a fact if they had it on their forehead. And most of the pubic is too dumb or scared or whatever to even care.

Seems nothing will get better until the rapture comes.

The Roman Empire (at least the Eastern empire) survived until the 15th century.

Gengis Khan's empire survived as a kingdom until the Russian revolution.

The USA will survive as well. It will no longer be a political, economic, or cultural force.

Tourists will visit the USA to see quaint remnants of how people lived in the mid 20th century. They will wonder what could have caused such a powerful country to slide into impoverished irrelevance.

9. I hope we come out of this a wiser, gentler more compassionate

nation. I have no desire to be an empire. I want our nation to be an active participant in a world community not its emperor.

If this at least cures our dreams of manifest destiny, the indispensible nation crap then maybe it will be worth it.
