Joseph Farah of WND has totally lost it
The RW implosion over Terri continues. This column is one of the most deranged i have ever read, comparing Terri to Jesus Christ. And they call us the 'loony left'.
Seems to me their are quite a few moonbats on the other side.

From WND, by Joseph Farah:

Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

It wouldn't surprise me if Terri Schiavo died today.

It will be a tragedy.

I will be very mournful.

I suspect it will feel like losing a member of the family for many of us.

But it will not surprise me if she died on Good Friday, the day Jesus died.

I want to be optimistic. I want to believe there is still some virility, some manhood, some courage, some godliness, some morality and some intestinal fortitude in public officials who could save her life with the stroke of a pen, with a phone call.

But as Terri, now in her eighth day of court-ordered starvation, weakens, I am forced to contemplate the strong possibility that this young lady may be purposely and torturously killed with the whole world watching.

Good Friday. Imagine that.

Like Jesus, Terri was an innocent – at least for the last 15 years

3. What's with the "at least for the last 15 years" crack?
Do you have to be in a persistent vegetative state in order to receive compassion from this clown?

4. Loose Words
I can't believe how casually the word "torture" has been thrown around in this mess -- by those who seem oblivious to how the rest of the world is looking at us right now-- torture? of course, just sail a little south and ask around.
peace already

6. Just sad
I feel terrible for everyone involved in this situation. I feel enormous sympathy for Terri Schiavo (of course), for her parents, who have destroyed their lives in a vain attempt to save someone already dead, and for her husband, who will never be allowed to live in peace again.

But I have a hard time feeling sorry for the people who have absolutely nothing to do with this case who are allowing it to consume their lives. "I suspect it will feel like losing a member of the family for many of us"? That's just wrong. It's true there is no 'happy ending' at the end of all this, but it's nothing to ruin your own life over. When Terri Schiavo dies, these people will be absolutely devastated. I really won't be surprised to see reports of Terri-related suicides.

I suppose I should feel some measure of sympathy for these people. For the most part, their concern is genuine and is based on strong personal convictions, but they are being taken advantage of by people like Farah, Hannity, Delay, and an endless parade of fundamentalists who see the whole sorry affair as a way of consolidating their power base and demonizing those who do not agree with them.

7. That one is so whacked out the Freakers pulled it when it was posted!

Seriously, somebody at Freakerland posted that very story, and the thread was pulled because of how much it made the Freakers look as religiously insane as they truly are!
