How ironic and sad that the real story of Terri Schiavo is overlooked
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 11:55 AM by Blue_Roses
and that is what put her in this vegetative state in the first place--bulimia. This story could be such a great help to young girls (and any one else) vomiting and starving themselves to be thin. This is what the media should be focusing on rather than all these relentless, redundant court appeals. This would be a great window of opportunity to see that many are educated on the effects of bulimia and how it can destroy your body if it goes too far. It has been said that Terri's heart stopped for 15 minutes--after 4 minutes the brain is in serious trouble because of no oxygen. It stopped because she was dehydrated and her electrolytes were depleted. This is where the media should be focused. Once again they drop the ball.

Ironic that Terri's will to starve herself is what started this whole chain of events.

how sad. They are missing a great opportunity to show some real reporting.
