1. Thanks for the pics!
I wanted to be there - but instead was awaiting the arrival of the furnace repair guy. Great to see such a good turnout!

I helped organize it but was deathly sick the morning of the 19th and didn't get to go. My husband and I made the caskets and he carried one of them. I also made the Disarm Iraq sign for last year's "Mission Accomplished" anniversary in May.

I didn't put these up, someone else did and sent us the link for our website. I can't post them using the usual method. Maybe someone else can figure it out.

And for all you folks wondering where the Christian left is, the gentleman talking to the news reporter is a UCC minister.

We did get all four local tv stations and the newspaper out.

9. give this a try.....the person who OWNS those photo slides does this
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 03:28 PM by diamond14

1. Download the photos onto your OWN computer. You can't post post photos off your computer, until you put those photos BACK INTO CYBERSPACE....

2. Then, upload the photos onto a FREE image-hosting web site, to put your computer photos BACK INTO CYBERSPACE...

here's a FREE site that you that you can use to post your photos...
http://www.photobucket.com/

3. NOW, you can take the URL/address from the cyberspace photos, and post that here on DU....and hurrah !, we should be able to SEE your photos....

You did a GREAT job on the Pro-Peace rally...THANKS !!! I don't understand how anyone can LIVE with themselves, if they don't STAND UP....

10. I tried
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 03:26 PM by hippywife
to right click on the images but it doesn't give me the option to even save them on my own computer. Maybe I can get the person whoposted them to send them to me individually so I can have them for future purposes.

13. NO, the person who owns the slides can DOWNLOAD those slides
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 03:35 PM by diamond14

to their own computer...that person has a code to download their OWN slides, YOU can't do it, and you can't do it even if they sent the slides to you....

the person who developed those photos, PAID to have those put on line...that person ONLY can download the photos onto their own computer...because they have a code to do that...but YOU don't...(otherwise, lots of strangers could go around downloading photos from others)....so it's set up so you can LOOK (with the permission of the person who sent you those slides, who gave permission to put those on-line), but you can't download...

so, find that person who OWNS the photos, and then follow the suggestions that I posted....it should work...

12. The nice thing is that
every month at our regular peace demo, the honks of support are getting to be more and more, the detractors fewer and fewer. We stand on a very busy corner at the intersection of two big shopping malls. At the March demo, the honks never stopped from the time we got there til the time we left.
