Limbaugh has an advertisement running on his show today stating getting a Living Will through the following. They are so kind to think of everyone except for one problem . . . this ain't free.

Here is the URL

http://www.legalzoom.com/

You do not have to pay for this. You can go to your hospitals Health Information Department. Call them ahead of time. Also, your family physicians office can give you one for free. All you have to do is ask for one, and they will have a notary Public there to witness your signature and then add your Living Will to your records.

This is a free form so do not pay some lawyer to do this. It's a very simple form and to the point.

This is taking advantage of a situation and I find it very offensive.

1. Pretty pathetic.
office supply stores charge 25 bucks for a living will kit. Everyone tries to make a buck these days at the expense of good taste. It's awful.

2. It's kind of when we had an ice storm about 10 years ago. Nobody
could move. All the power was out, trees falling everywhere. We only had two hardware stores locally, one was a True Value store, and the other was a family-owned business. (that was b4 Lowe's and Wal-Mart).

The summer before, my husband had I had looked at some of the heaters they sold for backup heat just in case our power got cut off during the winter. We ended up not getting anything because his dad had a wood furnace that he wasn't going to use anymore, so my husband put that in down in our basement. The thing really puts out some heat but we only use it for emergency.

Anyway, to make a short story long, the winter of the ice storm, we did not have the backup wood furnace yet so we went to the first hardware store we had been to the summer before. I was stunned. They had plenty of the heaters; however, they were 3 times what they had cost in the Summer. The other store was exactly the same. As we were walking out, A man was kind of mumbling to himself. My husband knew the man and my husband brought up the prices of the back-up heaters. Now this is the real kicker . . .

The man stated he had been in the store the previous week and the damn things were on sale. They were price gouging. And by doing so, they cut their own throats because the following summer Wal-Mart, Lowe's, and several other stores were trying to get licensed to build on the outskirts of town. Of course the main street stores all fought it as well as the individually owned stores and hardware stores. Well, the town voted for the other companies to come in. It took about two years before the other stores closed up.

To be honest, people had been shopping out of our town for years because the prices were unbelievable. We use to drive 45 minutes to get to a mall that had a better quality goods for less.
