Bush Offers Condolences to Minn. Tribe

WACO, Texas - President Bush (news - web sites) on Friday expressed condolences to the leader of the Minnesota Indian reservation where 10 people died Monday in the second-worst school shooting in U.S. history.

Bush talked to Floyd Jourdain Jr., chairman of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa, for five minutes Friday morning, offering his sympathy for the victims of a teen-ager's shooting rampage and the entire Red Lake community and pledging to provide federal assistance, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

Hey Bush - this happened on MONDAY - bout time you said something about it. :grr:

4. You think Fundies are going to be a problem next election....
...every member of an Indian Reservation is going to remember that Bush did nothing and SAID nothing when the school shooting happened on this Indian Reservation.

I think Clinton was bombing somewhere in Kosovo the day Columbine occured but believe me, Clinton said something that day!

I'm more angry at him now than I've been in four years (for his quick response to the Schiavo fiasco, and NO response to the shooting until NOW).

Its not his fault that it takes his handlers several days to come up with his policy on such matters, and then more days to train him so that he doesn't say something so incredibly stupid about the matter that they can't spin him a way out of it afterwards.

9. Just heard on the radio
A glowing news report by CBS radio about how our pResident called to offer his condolences and support to the community and the tribe. They painted it as a glorious and touching moment for the pResident.

I guess we really are living in a time where Joseph Goebbels controls our media and everything coming out of our government.
