So, After Schiavo Dies, Will EVERYONE HATE BUSH???
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 03:40 PM by Beetwasher
Think about it. Right now he's at 43-45% approval. After Schiavo dies, even many in his whacky fundy base will feel he let them down and will think he's not doing a good job because he should have done MORE to save her.

Ha Ha!

the deaths of more than 1,500 American troops have had less of an effect on his approval rating than this. Whacky fundy base is right.

3. they will be shouting "why didn't you (Bush) send in the National Guard??
OOPS, they are too busy spreading "Freedom and Liberty" in Iraq....

Did you notice how they have not mentioned that Judge Greer is a Republican or that Most of the 11th circuit Republican appointees voted to "let Terri DIE!!!" What a joke. the one dissenter in the 3 member 11th circuit was the Clinton appointee. the other 2 were GOP. then the full panel voted.

5. Yea but in these peoples ....
typical hypocritical fashion they will use this issue to try and replace 'political biased' judges (sarcasm) ... without letting the sheep know these facts. That's why it's up to us to get this information out there.

I'm feeling pretty dang certain that heads are gonna spin.

7. Right-wing fundies think * is Jesus. He can do no wrong in their eyes.
And now, the RW talking points are steering the sheep towards bullshit like the "out-of-control judiciary," etc.

9. I don't see much more of a drop. Might have even bottomed out.
After her body dies (brain already has), Dubya & Jeb & Frist & Delay can claim they did everything they could, but those mean old obstructionist judges and heartless liberals kept us from saving poor Terri. The morans that blindly follow this pack of liars will support them even more and join them in a renewed effort to oppose the evil in America.

I just hope that enough people will have their eyes opened by this hypocritical fiasco, and stand with us to oppose what will hopefully be a dwindling number of morans.

It will get spun like mad. A few shrubites may leave the fold, but not enough to make a difference.

The attention span of the average american is only a couple of weeks. After this blows over, they'll forget and his ratings will be up again.

13. Get The Popcorn...Recall Anyone?
I'm hearing yet another nasty disturbance in the wingnut coven force...it appears Jebbie is in a no win situation here...unless he mobilizes the state militia and goes riding in, guns blazing and pulls what remains of Terri Schaivo from the hospice. Anything less is a sell out

It appears Bunnypant's midnight run to sign that sham of Congressional legislation also wasn't good enough. I hit one hate radio call-in show where the neanderthal hosting claims "Bush couldn't even stay up to hear the debate..."...a smile came over my face.

The BFEE's playing both sides of the fence on such hot buttons like this one and immigration are starting to come home to roost on the Bush boys. I'd love to see this break into warfare inside the GOOP hive that will depress turn out in future elections and open doors for Democrats in Western and Souther states...standing both as alternative to the madness and developing and encouring the existing Democrats to get involved on the local and county levels to build organizations that will retake Congress in 2006.

The GOOP has handed Democrats a ton of rope to hang them with...will this chance be squandered? The Democratic party needs to start getting its shit together and fast.

14. I think this drop is due to the intervention they've already done
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 04:23 PM by Lone_Star_Dem
The majority of the population of republicans where I live don't want the government sticking their noses into this. They were, and still are, angry about what's happened.

That's the part of their plan that I think went awry. It was intended to highlight 'activist' judges at their worst. Instead most people are agreeing with the judge's decisions.

How has Governor Bush's failure to defy Judge Greer and not have DCF take Terri Schiavo into protective custody affected your view of the Governor?

No change in respect, but he should have defied Greer.
27.7%

I have lost a great deal of respect for him. Judges need to be reigned in. This was a good opportunity to do so.
27.1%

I would have lost a great deal of respect if he did defy the judge. Judicial decisions should not be defied by the Executive Branch. To do so would violate the "separation of powers" and risk a Constitutional crisis.
