Warning: Major Rant, Feel free to skip over...
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 04:10 PM by lala_rawraw
What about the other people who have the misfortune of having ended up at that particular hospice deserve some respect, do they not? Why are those families not speaking out and demanding that their loved ones not be made part of this media death squad? This is not only about this dying woman, what about all of the dying people there who have the right to die with dignity and peace with their loved ones near? I am livid because those people are also victims of this charade. Can you imagine dying and listening to screaming people outside, hysterics ranting about hell and damnation? Is that how anyone wants to die?

Why is no one speaking about the other people their and their violation of rights? They did not choose this death party the NeoCons are sponsoring.

I cannot tell you, I cannot fully convey how angry I am. I am sick (we all know, no biggie, talked about it before) and I live in Florida. I sat down yesterday and wrote out a living will, which in doing so, made me feel more of my illness and mortality. I feel victimized. My family, my husband, everyone knows my wishes. And while it is a good idea to have a living will, I would rather approach it when I am ready, then be driven to it by the hysterics of fabricated morals when I am not ready to write such a thing.

This damage is beyond a single woman, beyond those other individuals dying to the sound of propaganda. This is an affront to anyone who is ill in this entire nation. This is shameful. I want Frist, Delay, Jeb and the rest of the Muppet's out of office immediately and I think the entire nation, 2/3 of it anyway would support. I ask that we demand immediate action. I am not going be told how to die. Is it not enough knowing you are dying? There is no meeting ground on this. This cannot be something anyone brings to the table, as it were. This cannot be something to compromise on. This is beyond unethical, it is not Constitutional, it is a disgrace. They have been dictating life and now they want to control our deaths? Is nothing sacred, personal, private? How far, just curioius.... how far will this go?

We have torture, we have tazers for 3 year olds, we have the patriot act, illegal war, gitmo, we have human testing of pesticides (on black children), we have no money, no health, no privacy, no rights, etc. What more can we give? Sorry, I am near going batty.

This cannot be allowed to pass. We have allowed far too many things to go and we screamed in anger, but sat at home. I know many of us marched or protested, some arrested. But the entire real majority, call them blue staters, call them ethical people, whatever, the entire conscience of this nation needs to all at once get up and say enough in one voice. Call your media. Stand at city hall all day and night. Stand everywhere, on corners, on sidewalks. No oil. No consumer crap. Just stop and reject this structure as any form of civilized society.

Anyone is South Florida who is ill, disabled, etc.? We need someone to organize a trip to the hospice so that the ill who are able to speak can do so. I want one of these morally bankrupt buffoons to tell me to my face that I have no say over my death. I want to see if they can say it to people who can speak back.

Okay, thank you kindly for letting me loose my mind for a bit. I apologize for going batty, but better to vent than to implode.

Okay, I am going to calm down now, watch Monty Python movies and eat soup.

1. I'd not considered the other residents of...what should be a comforting
place to spend their final days. I'm angry for them and for you.

2. Or the guilt heaped upon them and their loved ones...
the suggestion that letting Terri die - is preventing her practice of religion (Catholicism) is a suggestion that choosing to die in hospice - without intrusive means - is "Suicide"... or the suggestion that families with loved ones at the hospice must be coldblooded killers in that they would allow their loved one the choice to die in a hospice (remember they are howling about Mr Schaivo being a killer). The situation is perverse.
