Does John Gibson hurt the credibility of Fox News?
Wonkette discusses John Gibson's recent comments on Terri Schiavo case:

John Gibson Storms the Nuthouse

John Gibson offers some last-minute legal advice to Jeb Bush: Go commando. In his Fox News monologue last night, Gibson threw caution -- and metaphorical consistency -- to the wind and urged Governor Bush to "give serious thought to storming the Bastille," by which he meant, "telling his cops to go over to Terri Schiavo's hospice, go inside, put her on a gurney and load her into an ambulance. They could take her to a hospital, revive her, and reattach her feeding tube."

Addressing concerns that this act would be oh, illegal, Gibson fumes, is "the temple of the law is so sacrosanct that an occasional chief executive cannot flaunt it once in a while?" We sort of hope so! Yet Gibson has a point. In tragic situations like this, which raise deep questions about the meaning and dignity of human life, shouldn't, as Gibson says "the occasional chief executive" "drop his drawers on the courthouse steps and moon the judges"?

We call that "the nuclear option."

Desperate Times, Desperate Measures?

4. John Gibson is a whore for money and notariety
When he first came on the scene, he was not the John Gibson you see today. He was actually rather entertaining, and a pretty good interviewer. He lost his "gig", and was hired by Fox.. That was when he went around the bend..

If he ever gets canned at Fox, he will probably be whoever his new employers wants him to be..

He's not a "newsman"..he just plays one on Fox :)

11. I remember him from CNBC where he subbed for Geraldo
He hid his ideology quite well, unless it's all a put-on for the wingnuts. In that case, he probably laughs his way to the bank.

21. My blog-article on Fox News and the Psychic.
From http://moveleft.com

Fox News declares, "Real journalism: fair and balanced. That's why we're No. 1 — FOX News Channel."

Psychic John Edward appeared in person as a guest on the March 24 broadcast of "Fox & Friends" on the cable channel.

The psychic announced about Terri Schiavo, "She's definitely clear on what's happening now around her."

The problem with this: All psychics are frauds.

Never mind the question of whether "Fair and Balanced" is false advertising.

Is the word "News" in "Fox News" false advertising?

To watch Jon Stewart of "The Daily Show" present cable tv video clips including of the psychic go to the blog "Crooks & Liars.

The whole five-minute-45-second Jon Stewart bit is worth watching, and he gets to the psychic on Fox News after about four minutes.

More "fair and balanced" Fox News coverage of the Terri Schiavo case appears on their website. Regular columnist John Gibson declares in a March 24 essay that "Jeb Bush should give serious thought to storming the Bastille."

I found the John Gibson essay via the blog DC Media Girl.

:wtf:
(All said with a red-neck accent)They got French people workin' at FOX? :silly:

My favorite Jon Stewart quote of late: "...that's according to the French News agency, which has yet to say if they will change their name to the "Freedom News" agency..."

to begin with. :) All their anchors and anchorettes are trained to say what their foaming at the mouth rightwing viewers want to hear. These Bush lovers don't watch FNC for news, but for REINFORCEMENT of their wrongheaded beliefs!
