1. I still think we should...
... send Frist a bunch of videos of us laying in bed, and then ask him to diagnose our illnesses (if any).

Just a few minutes of footage should do it.

:)

5. Hell, Psychologists have been doing this in court for decades
Goes on all the time, and all these quacks have to go by is a photo of the accused--if that much.

7. Not so
If you know of such an instance, you should report it to the state licensing board, because that would be in clear violation of a psychologist's code of ethics. The American Psychological Association and every state licensing board takes that very seriously. You may disagree with the conclusions that a psychologist comes to, as reported in the press, but if a psychologist was going around making public "diagnoses" of patients they had never evaluated, as Frist, Cheshire, and others in gthe Schiavo case have done, they would be disciplined.

9. Your head is in the sand!!!!!! My God! Wake up to abuses of Psychology!
Psychologists testify all the time in court about people they have never once met. Why are you defending this quack profession?

10. and furthermore, every single diagnoses from the DSM-IV is A JOKE
ther is ABSOLUTELY NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE FOR DSM IV LABELS.

I'll give anyone here MY HOUSE if they can prove those labels have any scientific reproducable accuracy. They are bogus. The common quack shrink can evaluate a patient, bringing whatever prejudices he/she has, and come up with a label that has no bearing in reality. BUT THEY ARE GIVEN AUTHENTICITY BY LAWYERS, THE INSURNACE INDUSTRY, ETC.

12. Guess what? I saw a psychiatrist via teleconference and he...
...prescribed drugs for me.

Our little county doesn't have enough psychiatrists so now we have telepsychiatry. Fun, huh?
