Solider's Mom not allowed to take photo of her son's death
I'm listening to the replay of Rhandi because I missed a lot of the parts today. In the first segment Rhandi is talking about a mother was at her son's funeral and she wanted to take photos of her son's casket because she thought it was respectful how they had it so perfect and everything. She was told from the Pentagon: NO PHOTOS. Why? It'd be disrespectful to OTHER families. What is wrong with this?! Anybody heard of any other similiar situations? Bush doesn't attend any soliders funeral, no national day of mourning for the soldiers, no news on when a solider dies anymore... Eighty-seven soliders died earlier this week and it wasn't mention on MSM ONCE! All people care about is freakin Terri Schavio! :grr:

the other fifty you refer to haven't been added as of yet, but jesus, we've lost 200 soldiers in 3 months. Wow, still winning hearts and minds.

5. I think you are talking about a fight between
Iraqi police/military and Iraqi "insurgents". 85 (or so) were reported dead. The Middle Eastern press reported 11 dead, and when the U.S. military finally spoke, they said they had gone to the area and found NO bodies.

You may be thinking of that report.

8. I think you're referring to...
... a claim by US/Iraqi forces of the number of insurgents killed in a combined air/land assault early in the week, of which the numbers are in question.

But, wasn't US combat deaths.

Cheers.

7. A human life is a human life. Regardless of whether they were Iraqi or
American, their blood is still on Bush's hands.

9. Not allowed to take a picture of her son's funeral?!
:wtf:
:grr:
That is a major lack of respect to the family who has made an unspeakable sacrifice for their country.

11. jeez. At the viewing of my mom's funeral, we did everything. Video,
cameras, you name it. We simply weren't ready to let her go. I can't imagine how worse I would have felt if someone would have deprived us of that last moment of familiarity.

We took a couple pictures of her in her casket, her casket closed etc. It's really disgusting how they are!

10. AJC has the story
Def posted an excerpt on http://roachblog.blogspot.com , but AJC is a registration site.

RE: 87 combat deaths, that was the number of insurgent casualties reported earlier this week in a big "victory" for the new Iraqi security forces. Turns out to probably not be true. Also on the blog...
