as a non catholic i am just wondering.

I'm just wondering why you used the initials when making that statement?

Perhaps: "I object to your referring to anyone as a vegetable who is in a persistent vegetative state" would appear a bit ridiculous?

Or perhaps you ommitted the obligatory smiley?

Or perhaps the mods will lock down this thread as well, as it appears that The Pope is straight out of bounds.

Catholics' opinions vary just like any other group.

My personal opinion.. I would hope he would be allowed to die as naturally and peacefully as possible - like every other human being should.
