13. And on a related note:
Colorado's "repub-lite" Senator Salazar has backed away from his support of the "nuclear option" on the filibuster!

He should be encouraged!

14. Just to clarify Salazar's position.
And by "repub-lite" if you mean he represents a conservative state strongly influenced by national GOP operatives, yes he does. But he's more of a progressive. It's how he got elected. And he is far, far preferable to Pete "Heritage Foundation" Coors. :-)

http://www.washtimes.com/national/20050325-110518-3826r.htm

"Sen. Ken Salazar has backed off the position he took during his campaign last year that Democrats should not filibuster President Bush's judicial nominees.
Republicans had been counting on Mr. Salazar, a Democrat from Colorado, as a key vote against the filibusters. His defection is a serious blow to the hopes of Senate Republicans who wanted more bipartisan weight behind their "nuclear option" to dislodge filibusters."

17. please re-read..
It is about the upcoming resubmission of unqualified judges, and the potential for the Senate leadership enacting the "nuclear option" to eliminate the filibuster.
