TX: Portraits of some victims of BP refinery explosion
http://www.mysanantonio.com/sharedcontent/APStories/stories/D892SRI80.html

LORENA "LORI" CRUZ, 32, La Porte, Texas, office worker, J.E. Merit.
Friends said Cruz was bubbly but bossy, a lover of animals who attended classes to become a certified electrician. She wanted to become a mother. She worked in the J.E. Merit office at the BP plant. Family friend Ray Salinas said the company had just informed Cruz that they planned to lay her off, but that she was happy about it. "She said, 'Now I can rest,'" Salinas said.

DANIEL HOGAN, 58, Glenmora, La., Fluor-Daniel employee
He had been in Texas City since January and Tuesday, the day before the accident, was to be his last day at work, Brown said. But he was asked if he could stay on another few days and he agreed.

JAMES ROWE, 48, Hornbeck, La., civil supervisor, J.E. Merit.
LINDA ROWE, 47, Hornbeck, La., tool room worker, J.E. Merit.
The day of the explosion, workers have told Eva Rowe, her mother made it out of the tool room, but tried to reach her husband.
"After the first explosion, my mom was running to help him," she said. "It makes me proud that my mom was brave."

2. LOL, bad
Nah, they were intentionally decreasing supply to make the price go up. That is the game repukes play. The accident, that comes at a very lucky time for the repukes, helped even more.
