Remember that man-date Boosh thought he had? Gone
Edited on Sat Mar-26-05 06:44 PM by NNN0LHI
All his imagined political capital? Gone too. Watch his Rethugs friends in Congress scurrying for their holes now. Overplaying ones hand can do that. Delay is history. See how much support he gets from Hastert and Frist now. Watch all their faces tomorrow morning on the political talk shows. You will be able to witness the fear.

1. I don't think they care.
They have uncontrolled power until November 2005 at least. We can't do anything about it.

4. and it hardly matters
his followers are so blind that they will support him no matter what. Please someone hold me back. I'm going for a Hitler comparison.

Clinton tried to improve health care and got savaged by the media for incompetence. The congress went thug in '94 and never switched back.

shrub tries to end the greatest New Deal program of all and what? Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson, Terry Shaivo, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Scott Peterson.

Just watch: bush'll just keep on ruining everything and his popularity will never drop below 40%. Thugs 'll keep winning elections with the fear factor. Fear of Foreigners Factor if you really like alliteration.

5. Yeah, see bush knows he's fine.
He knows he's not running for office again. But his congressional repuke buddies are up in 2006 and are sweatin' it.

This will cause the smell of blood in the water. The first tinges are already present.

11. They're nervous,
and why not. I not sure where the line is, but support is dwindling.
The Republican party is only about getting everything they can and getting re-elected.

9. HA! Next week the WMD intel failure report comes out! Can't escape it!
The nine-member panel led by Laurence Silberman (R) and Charles Robb (D) will be explaining (supposedly) why "they got everything wrong."

Negroponte goes through his confirmation hearings next month and that will be another chance to peer into the mass grave called US policy under the BFEE.

The intel failure panel's reccomendation's will fall to Negroponte, of course. Who better knows how to watch chickens then a fox?

Now is the time to urge our so-called representatives to get brave about exposing these murderers for what they are.

10. it's back to the well for him
The Republican social policy, economic policy, and foreign diplomacy agenda got lifted out of the crapper. Despite some serious marketing- calling it chocolate- folks realize it for the sh-t it is. The stench is too strong to miss no matter how blind the electorate chooses to be to concepts, distinctions, and rationales.

I dunno whether calling it "overplaying one's hand" is the right metaphor. The only real cards their side has held for the past year, roughly, is that a slight majority of the electorate is the right combination of uninformed, cowardly, unimaginative, and mentally paralyzed to resist any significant change. In short, Terrorism and Values excuses.

It can't last, this rule with so few real cards being held. That's what has Republicans so anxious- the particulars don't matter, political uselessness/bankrupcy of their 'issues' has been coming into view for two or three years now and creeps closer and closer.
