Oh, yes they did. Freepers say hospice violated the "HYPOCRATIC OATH"

"Well, if you don't want scenes like this around your hospice, maybe you shouldn't allow your hospice to be used as a prison and killing ground. Maybe you shouldn't fire your nurses for talking to a patient. Maybe you shouldn't violate your Hypocratic Oath by allowing patients under your charge to be maltreated.

You made good money by allowing your hospice to be used as a prison camp. So shut up."

3. "Their death delivery factories must be left functioning at the highest
rate of productivity"...????? What a freak. May he/she never have a loved one dying and in need of the remarkable services offered by hospices around the country. :puke:

11. Angels on Earth
The nurses that took care of my mother when she was in hospice were absolutely wonderful. Especially compared to the horrid treatment she received from both doctors and nurses the last time she was in the hospital. We couldn't get her out of that hospital fast enough, once the doctors determined that she was at the end stage of her disease.
We were very lucky that we could get her into a Quaker facility. Compassionate, caring, responsive..there when we needed them, but they left us alone when that what was needed.
I don't know how they do it either, but thank God they do.

13. I, too, have had positive experiences with hospice.
I just don't understand the people who are saying such negative things and protesting in such a completely unchristian, uncompassionate way. I can only hope that some day they need to avail themselves of hospice services and know the heart-wrenching agony of making the decision to let someone you love be released from pain and the bonds of this earth. Perhaps then they will understand what it all means.

BTW, welcome to DU. Glad to have you on board!

Blessings.

12. Those people are not only sick...............
they're stupid as well. The hospice is LOSING money on Terri because her PARENTS didn't want her to be on the public dole.

I really think they value their stupidity. It's like the most stupid one over there, WINS!

Their entire world revolves around this single case, nothing else exists. All the dying in the world takes second place to Terri Shiavo because she's their political pawn and they don't want to give her up.

Good night everybody. I can't take this shit anymore tonight. There's been much too much stupidity for one day.
