Terrorism ruled out in oil refinery blast
Chicago Sun-Times - 13 hours ago
TEXAS CITY, Texas -- FBI agents have ruled out terrorism, but federal regulators estimate it will take them months to determine what caused an oil refinery explosion that killed 15 and injured more than 100. ...

...

If it is going to take months to figure out what it was.. how can they know it isn't terrorism?

1. They know it wasn't terrorism, because they did it
Oil companies have been under pressure to increase refinery capacity so they were bringing the refinery back online..but if they do that that creates a surplus and a surplus means prices go lower during summer vacation.

Every year a refinery burns just prior to summer...google it...every year

2. They checked with their Al Qaeda subcontractors

and were informed that it wasn't a company job.

3. Every article I read about this
keeps repeating that two groups claim responsibility for this, but the FBI went and looked and said no evidence of foul play.

4. Has anyone posted the claims from the Islamist groups?
Earlier they said they had photos or video that would prove they did it.

-----
Two Islamist groups claimed responsibility for the explosion in Internet postings on Thursday, but the FBI investigators went to the plant and said they found no evidence of suspicious or criminal activity at the plant.

5. Well, Al, in a SANE World, that would be a very good question,
one revealing a certain lack of logical validity...but it's been a very long while since we left Sane World Territory. Sorry if you didn't see the signs. I don't recall any announcement myself...

:hi: Howya doin'? Haven't seen you in a while, but I'm glad you're here now (as always).

6. Nah, oil refineries go "boom" a lot. Most of the stuff they make
will catch on fire and a lot of it is explosive. That particular refinery has had a huge number of problems, probably because of the lax enforcement of safety standards in Texas under Bush and Perry (an educated guess).

9. I've heard it said that fires are the hardest to investigate...
because of the extensive damage.

12. If Bush was in Texas at the time,
terrorism can certainly be ruled out.

He doesn't hang around for that stuff.
