FOX news fans the flames, suggests Michael Schiavo abused Terri
Edited on Sat Mar-26-05 09:25 PM by Bluebear
Rita Cosby askes Bobby Schindler what he thinks of Michael Schiavo "as a man", asks if the evidence doesn't point to Michael having put his wife into this condition originally, is shocked that Michael looked at grave plots in 1993, etc.

9:24 edit: Pscyhologist guest Dr. Liebermann now says Michael "fits the profile of a wife abuser".

1. Quick--Get Richard Jewell's attorney on the phone.
I hope Schiavo sues the crap out of all of 'em.

10. Really, this will be the only way to stop Faux.
They should be sued for every word of slander they speak about anybody until they get the idea.

it's been over a week of slander and libel against both. Sue DeLay, sue Faux and pledge to donate any of the money won to the ACLU... now that would be justice.

5. More lies, the courts looked at those allegations years ago....
...and cleared Michael Schiavo of any abuse charges, but I don't even think Michael ever had actual charges only suggestions by the parents of Terri which were totally baseless. Let it go already.

Michael is trying to cover up evidence

Asked very leading questions - "Isn't it possible the man who is pulling the plug is the man who put Terri in this condition?"

30. What's with the prison..
What's with the prison having a spokesman appearing on FOX?

Do the public have a right to know what you are up to in jail?

Is this spokesman being paid by FOX or by the prison system?

Are FOX paying someone to have him on?

Can people just continue to make money off you after to go to jail?

normally avoid the fake news and political talk shows like the plague. But I had to see if Jeb would send in the state police (he did).

It is incredible and fascinating that this kind of crap goes on the air! I had no idea it was this bad.

26. Lots of women are dying in Florida... most of whom are those who
cannot afford health insurance or proper nutrition because of the bad economy and the rise in the costs of both.
Poverty is the No. 1 cause of death.

Bet Faux won't do a story on that, though. :eyes:

What kind of parents would allow someone who abused their daughter live in their home and care for her after her heart attack for 3 years? Why would the allegations only start years later? Do people even think about what they're hearing?

22. AS someone pointed out in another thread,
if there was any possible reason to blame Schiavo for abuse which brought this condition on, the Insurance Company's lawyers would have gone to town on it in the Malpractice suit that Michael brought. It DEFINITELY would have come to light then.

The Schindlers bringing it up now is the same as their suddenly remembering that Terri said "I want to live" when the tube was removed.

All these people are shamelss and incredible. Thsy just throw shit at the wall to see if any of it will stick.

Michael Schiavo has to have the patience of a Saint.

35. Rita Crosby disgraced herself,
but I guess she does that daily. I had just watched the brother interviewed by Carol Linn on CNN who actually conducted herself with professionalism. She (Linn) was respectful, but asked meaningful questions rather than acting like some stupid high schooler interviewing a jock for the school paper. I do hope they are sued.

a radio station actively particpated in the hate mongering with veiled suggestions of violence towards the listeners neighbor, "they are like cockroaches and should be exterminated."

Fox, Rush, and the radical right blogs are crossing that line. I think that this is indicative of who we are dealing with: Violent people.

44. article on Dr. Lieberman
"Michael fits the profile of an abusive husband," Lieberman says. "He should most definitely be investigated."

The basis of her conclusions? Interviews with Terri Schiavo's family, which has spent years locked in a legal battle with Michael Schiavo, and a review of news stories and documents posted on the Internet.

"I've never examined Michael Schiavo," Lieberman said Friday.

...

Lieberman has a "courtesy appointment" -- one of about 500 -- at UCLA. She is not paid by the university and has no office there.

She describes herself as a "media psychiatrist" who appears on shows such as Entertainment Tonight and ABC's Good Morning America. Weeks before the Schiavo story exploded, Lieberman was commenting on the breakup of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.
