For some time I didn't realize WHY Rove/DeLay/et al were pulling this card. I mean, the next election is in 2006 right? That's what I thought until just now.
I've been getting emails about the upcoming STATE election in Texas. We've already got dems running for governor and other offices. THAT'S why they're playing the "right to life" card.
I wonder what other states have elections coming up? Looks like they're trying to take/hold states already. Since they already have a grasp on the federal government it isn't surprising they'd move on to the states.
1. Uh, well it was a pretty damn stupid move if that's true,
since upwards of 82% of Americans do NOT agree with the government (specifically Jeb Bush, Chimpy McCokespoon and Congress) sticking their noses in this.
It backfired on them royally. But this is WHY they started it.
OR it's possible Rove wants to mobilize the hard right early on. They're eating this up like candy. In fact that's most likely. What do you do early early before an election? Go to the masses? Nope - you mobilize the base.
5. Ahnold is already trying to redistrict California!
What's with that? We just got resdistricted in 2000. They aren't supposed to do it again for ten years. The gall of these neo-cons defies all decency. What are they up to? Oh, a way to get elected without cheating, I'll bet. They know they can get away with that only once or twice.
