NYT: Conservative Christians aim to take over OHIO GOP, elect Blackwell
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/03/27/politics/27OHIO.html?oref=login&pagewanted=print&position=

Christian conservative leaders from scores of Ohio's fastest growing churches are mounting a campaign to win control of local government posts and Republican organizations, starting with the 2006 governor's race.

In a manifesto that is being circulated among church leaders and on the Internet, the group, which is called the Ohio Restoration Project, is planning to mobilize 2,000 evangelical, Baptist, Pentecostal and Roman Catholic leaders in a network of so-called Patriot Pastors to register half a million new voters, enlist activists, train candidates and endorse conservative causes in the next year.

The initial goal is to elect Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell, a conservative Republican, governor in 2006. The group hopes to build grass-roots organizations in Ohio's 88 counties and take control of local Republican organizations.

"The establishment of the Ohio Republican Party is out of touch with its base," said Russell Johnson, the pastor of the Fairfield Christian Church and the principal organizer of the project. "It acts as if it lives in Boston, Mass." (note: a big raspberry from New England, Reverend Russ.)

4. They should have from the beginning
I say that churchs, since they promote Republicians, should pay for taxes especially the mega-churchs. With that much money coming in, our gov could use it. If they complain, we can tell them it's free trade and we won't support communism just for them and bankrupt corporations.

3. They're going to pat themselves on the back for voting for a "negro"
"Look at us! You can't call us racist now! We voted for a colored, er, negro man for governor!"

5. Tail waggin' the dog
Fraudwell (please search 2004 election & discussion forum if you don't understand the reference) was "tapped" before the sElection of '04. He served as leader of the Ohio repub committee at the same time as serving as Ohio SOS.

Fraudwell has been sElected long ago, in exchange he delivered the Ohio vote of '04.

A pox on his house.

7. IF the people of Ohio elect Blackwell to
represent them as Governor I think a complete water test by the EPA should be ordered to ascertain what got into the drinking water (or the voting machines).
What a repulsive, manipulative, piece of humanity he reflects.

8. All of this is just a cover
for election fraud--Blackwell wouldn't have a prayer (smirk) otherwise
