watching "Grace" explode on Headline News last night - anyone else amused?

So I'm stuck in a hotel on business and turned on the tube... There's this airheaded blonde bimbette was trying to get support for her Schiavo story (the usual right wing talking points re: evil hubby and right to "life" - plus the added twist that the "poor thing is getting morphine, that PROVES she's in pain") unfortunately guest after guest repeatedly told her how she was way, way off base. How Schiavo was in absolutely no pain as she had no brain left to feel pain. Another doctor stated the morphine was not unusual at all in cases like this, but was provided more to make the FAMILY feel better than to do anything for the patient.

Over and over again the bimbette rose up, her vitriol in high dudgeon only to be smacked down. Her guests not only contradicted her, they did everything but call her a moron. Hate to sound so shallow, but I haven't laughed so hard at a "news broadcast" in years!

on Will and Grace is smarter.

that with all the crazy goofy over-the-top nuts out there regarding this Shiavo case she would have had enough smarts to get people on her show who would back her up. But on the other hand, I think she was hired by headline news for comic relief.

But a guest on Joe Scarborough last night DID call him stupid, for the same reason.

The first time I ever saw her-sitting in for Larry King- I sat there mouth agape at how bad she was. Not just her mindless conversation points but how sloppily she was as a host.

She HAS to have some really good dirt on someone-that is the only reason I can imagine that she is on TV.

In the beginning (when GAWD created Court TV), her features were much softer; hence, she fit the profile of fascist fundie blonde bimbo to a T.

Last night, I caught a glimpse of her, and :wow:

Looks like she's been around the block, rode hard, and put away wet.

Because before this issue, I LIKED her. But, she has shown herself to be in line with the rest of the media pack: willing and able (and likely forced) to tout the neo-con agenda.

She is not a fundi: she is a democrate who has openly supported Hillary Clinton.

But, she has become a megaphone for the anti-democratic-neo-conservative-facist-movement here in America.
