Schiavo supporters blame the Bushes and Congress
for Terri Schiavo's death. Just saw it on MSNBC.

"I am ashamed of Governor Bush," one said.

Let's be honest, though. What else, barring a commando-style raid on the hospice, were the Bushes and Congress supposed to do? They did too much as it was; they intervened at every turn, "overruling" the courts as much as they dared.

And what if they had intervened at the 11th hour? Reinsertion of the feeding tube likely would have killed Ms. Schiavo anyway.

The Bushes and Congress, though entirely politically motivated, did more than what they should have in an effort to reinsert that feeding tube. What more do these people want?

4. Schiavo supporters? The Schiavo supporters wanted her to finally die
ie those who supported Michael and Terri Schiavo. Don't you mean the Schindler supporters?

6. Good. I am hoping they all start fighting with each other and tear each
other to shreds. May the split of their unholy alliance begin.

2. Bush has betrayed us!

Why is he talking about the war on terror?

Switching over to duty to defend the US. I think he's done talking about Terri.

911 & WMD??? WTF?

President needs to figure out this public speaking thing - he went right from Terri Schiavo's death to 9/11 in the same breath/sentence. Not a clear way to get your thoughts out to the people.

I don't understand; that's it? That's all he's going to say about the whole thing?

This is the worst speech he has ever given, bar none. His polls will continue to drop and the talking heads will continue to ignore the real cause, instead attributing it to Social Security reform or the war in Iraq.

I hate to say it, but the political impact is there will never be another Bush elected anywhere, ever. After a brief statement on "culture of life", President Bush is standing next to Chuck Robb talking about intelligence reform now. This is not the time to try to change the subject. Governor Bush's statement was equally weak. What a shame, leadership is needed. The ball has been dropped and they will not recover from this.

9. Apparently 9-11 and WMDs are less important than the Schiavo case.
I certainly didn't get that impression in that past.
