Is there a powerful pro-euthanasia lobby?

From reading the Freepers, it seems many of them think there is a huge, coordinated, well-funded "pro-euthanasia" lobby in the US that beat out the poor, underfunded "pro-life" movement.

Let's see... there's the Hemlock Society. From their website, it looks like they have 19 staff. Death with Dignity had about 11 staff. But they DO have Mary Tyler-Moore on their advisory board.

Is Mary-Tyler Moore behind all this? Is she secretly controlling a huge, octopus-like band of roving physicians with needles at the ready?

Get over it, Freepers - you didn't lose to a vast pro-death conspiracy. You lost because the public and the law are not on your side.

dehydration. I was with my dog when he had to be put down. They gave him a fatal dose of morphine and he did not suffer. Why is it we seem to know how to treat our pets - but not other humans?
