3. Is anything private? That depends on your worth as a political weapon.
Edited on Thu Mar-31-05 07:50 PM by Straight Shooter
Thousands of bulimic young girls in America, some will die. The fundies will say it's their problem (the girls), they brought it on themselves. But as for Terri, because she serves their political purposes, they view her as a poor innocent lamb of god, led to slaughter by the heathens. Yeah, right.

How many dead American soldiers now? x(

Barf-a-roni, the bush'n'fundie treat.

15. funny the fundies have brought this problem on the girls
since women only have value as wife/mother they need to keep their man. In order to keep their man they have to have the "perfect figure"

6. That's not her 'memorial service'
That's a gathering of psychotic self-centered imbeciles still wallowing in the media attention. At least CNN isn't pimping for these whores.

10. Hi, TN!!
:hi:

:loveya:

I'll say this again -- I'm having a hard time figuring out who is crazier: these folks or the Elian loons

17. The Elianistas don't hold a candle to the Terri-ists, imho.
These people truly are the spawn of Satan - worshippers of the undead. It'd make a cheap SciFi/Horror flick about some insane cultists who kept a corpse 'alive' for 15 years, proclaiming 'love' for it, making offerings to it, and devoting many hours a day proclaiming "It's Aliiiive!" to anyone who'd listen (and send dollars).

Terri Schiavo ceased to exist 15 years ago.

Hi, luv!!! :hi:
 :loveya:

20. do you mean to tell us...
that CNN skipped the circus?

Oh, wait, they have Larry King live all night on Terri, Terri, Terri. Even the poor pope hovering near death can't knock Terri off CNN.

7. I just got off the phone with my mother...
She disagrees with me about whether or not the decision by Michael to end Terri's life was wrong, but both of us agree that the media coverage is fucking disgusting.

Funny. I rarely have disagreements over politics with my mother. Of course, I spouted off information she was completely unaware of, which somewhat softened her. I reads the Internets, and she doesn't.:)

14. I had a brief thread yesterday where i mentioned how I converted
my sister back to the good side. She had been drinking too much of Pat Robertson's KoolAid. A few good points and she started listening to MSM with a little more skepticism and then she heard enough minor things mentioned that helped her change her mind on the whole thing, the Constitutional issues, the "Michael is the devil issue", etc.

You have to be gentle and persistent. My Mother-in-law agrees with Michael Schiavo's actions, but she still hates him because she has projected this story onto her daughter's life. Her daughter is brain damaged from multiple anerysms, and she's had one good husband, one bad husband who was a bad boyfriend before that.

9. She will continue to be easy "news" for them, they don't have to
fact-check, be accurate and truthful, that would be too much work. It's like tabloid TV all the time anymore.

Even tabloids have more 'production values' than the whoring Cable News channels.

for at least ten days. Minimum number of days is ten because that is the minimum number of days where there is no Pope.

It can be longer, though.

21. Ironic observation

A memorial service is where you go to remember someone.
None of these people knew Terri Schiavo--yet they all went to "remember" her.

22. I was watching CNN coverage with Larry King and Anderson...
Anderson was saying that the media's presence was definitely responsible for drawing in people, but for varying causes. He said most of them have the shows' times down, and they run and put up their signs and stand there to get on tv so that it will look like there are hundreds there, but there may only be about two dozen.

What a circus.
