"Go Home, Hippies"????
Tonight during the peace vigil some passerby shouted, "Go home, hippies!" I looked at the people around me. Not a single one looked like a hippy--not that it would matter--and we were all citizens of the town. Hell, I was born in this town. I doubt the person who yelled could claim that.

Another passerby screamed, "GOD BLESS BUSH!!!!" I couldn't help it. I had to yell back, "He needs it!"

These people don't even have anything intelligent to say anymore. Sad, isn't it?

8. I'm no hippy, that's for sure.
I tried to attend a class called "From Violence to Wholeness" and discovered I'm really not pacifist material...not yet, anyway. Maybe someday I'll lead a life of complete peace, but I think I'm still quite capable of using force in certain circumstances (mostly self-defense). I had to quit the class because to me it just seemed like more dogma. I've had my fill of dogma.

Quite sad. I hate being told to "shut up and sit down." :grr: If anybody ever told me that to my face I'd tell them if they don't like freedom of speech they could check out Iran.

3. Oh no, they're too mobile for that. These are always drive-by harassings.
I think it's pathetic they 1) can't walk up to us and say it to our faces and 2) can't think of anything better to say. I laughed all the way home. :rofl:

Anyone expressing desire for clean air or water is a "tree hugger"
Only "hippies" question a war.
You have to put on a "tin foil helmet" if you suspect republican fraud.
Only "Far-left" liberals disagree with Bill O'Reilly

The labels help republicans distance their opposition from the mainstream, and while they resort to general terms to define us, I use a broad brush too.
I call them all "assholes"

(remember when it was only 1,000?) we were at a candlelight vigil and we were heckled. Can you imagine heckling a vigil for their own beloeved soldiers?
