I remember when... (AKA Newspeak is Double-plus good)
I remember when...

"Terrorists" and "Insurgents" were "Freedom-Fighters" and "Guerrilla Fighters".

"Improvised Explosive Devices" were called "Booby-traps".

"Civilian Contractors (armed with military grade weapons..)" were called "Mercenaries".

Anyone else have some other Newspeak examples?

2. Be careful...
... even considering what BB does not want you to consider is...

... thoughtcrime.

But, since you insisted. :)

When "collateral damage" was civilian deaths.

When "spin" was lying.

When "shock and awe" was called blitzkrieg.

When "WMDs" were atomic weapons.

When "government VNRs" were actually propaganda.

When a "electoral landslide" was virtually all the states and most of the electoral votes.

When "corporate/government trust relationships" were actually called corruption.

When "traitor" was someone who provided material help to a foreign government to undermine the US.

When a "liberal" was someone fair-minded and reasonable and progress-minded.
