Any of this sound familiar? Rice decries Zimbabwe elections

Read the whole article; it's a point by point description of the US elections of 2004, except for Swift Boat Vets for Mugabe.

Rice Says Zimbabwe Vote Unfair, Not Free

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Parliamentary elections in Zimbabwe were neither free nor fair, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday. She called on the government to abandon policies designed to "repress, crush and otherwise stifle expressions of differences."

Zimbabwe's government said it won a parliamentary majority in Thursday's election but Rice said in a statement it was clear that "many Zimbabweans have rejected the government's failed policies and are calling for change."

She estimated that more than 10 percent of would-be voters were turned away from polling stations due to irregularities with voter registration rolls.

The percentage was higher, she said, in hotly contested constituencies.

"Don't these people know they can just program the voting machines to get whatever result they want like we did?" Rice added. (Ok, I made that part up.)

5. Aunt Thomasina isn't black
the only thing black about her is her soul.

I know you know where I'm coming from, but I visited this "other" site and they all call me a racist bitch because I dare speak up about this worthless, lying bitch.

I hope to hell they are reading this.

Giving a shout out!!! :hi:

2. Crypohits
Dyslexic hypocrits; you'd think they would also denounce the US's paperless voting machines made by a key company in the BANKING industry.

4. And I thought she revered Mugabe for his unwavering patriotism...
with all of her opposition to foreign election analysts during the US election it seems odd she would rail on Zimbabwe.

7. Why, I just don't see how you can have a problem....
The article says among other things that "food was used as a weapon to sway hungry voters". I just don't remember that happening here, you want to count the hundreds that stood in line so long they missed their lunch and dinner!) :sarcasm:

That is pretty incredible. You have to wonder how she could make such statements with a straight face.
The more I read about the nitwit and his malicious troop, the more positive I am that I have indeed walked through the looking glass.

9. Buck up, Condi, Raygun liked him.
"On the whole, the political scene has been marked by increasing stability and the enhancement of the authority of Prime Minister Robert Mugabe."

"While many Zimbabweans may have lamented Tekere's release, it was widely noted that, as promised, Prime Minister Mugabe's government did not interject itself in any way into the judicial process. The public service and the police also operate as set forth in the Lancaster House agreement."
