1. A Chalabi 'source' of disinformation that the OSP used to push WMD claims

Which all turned out to be an Iranian intelligence plan that duped George Bush (whew !).

Just look at what Patrick Lang of the DIA had to say about it all:

4. This might help
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former CIA Director George Tenet on Friday disputed that he was warned about problems with an Iraqi source just hours before Secretary of State Colin Powell argued the U.S. case against Iraq at the United Nations, using the source's information.

A presidential commission issued a scathing report on Thursday about U.S. intelligence on weapons of mass destruction that said the Bush administration relied on unsubstantiated intelligence from an Iraqi chemical engineer code-named "Curveball" that Iraq had mobile biological weapons labs...

Please don't tell me the culture of life people killed 100,000 Iraqis because a guy named "Curveball" sold them the brooklyn bridge. We're gonna give the "Curveball" defense for the next 100+ years?

"Ah, Karl, I've got a question."

Karl: "It was curveball, again."

10. Hey, people are chewed up, spat out by the power-mongers that be.
When they pull their heads out of their egos,...then, maybe,...just MAYBE,...they will find something within themselves that is honorable.

But, hey,...everyone has the power of choice,...the power of choosing who and what they really are,...for better or worse. Each must live and die with those choices.

15. I love the defense that "the CIA didn't tell us he wasn't reliable"
Sure, right. You think the name "Curveball" would be just a bit of a hint, right? Not fastball, not slider, not spitball. You think anybody with half a brain could see that whoever gave him that nickname was trying to say "he intends to deceive".

Hey, I've got some great information from a secret source. Let's call him "Full of Horsesh*t".

11. Randi Rhodes was all over the topic of "Curveball" on her show today
I love the fact that no one from the CIA had any direct contact with the guy who was just about the SOLE SOURCE for all the WMD claims they made prior to the war, even though they were told that he could not be completely trusted.

In typical Randi style, she asked why the hell a president who used to own a BASEBALL team wouldn't be suspicious of intelligence from a guy called CURVEBALL, of all things.

16. A blackbelt alcoholic who once filled vending machines at a lab
He took that short experience (probably fired soon there after) and with his PR man Chalabi parlayed it into be taken seriously and tricked the United States of America to invade their country and take out the leader so Chalabi could have the country.

BTW-"Curveball" was in German custody so they had to translate from Arabic (drunken Arabic) to German to English. The only time a US (CIA) official actually saw him in person he was so hung over they couldn't actually have a conversation.

That is the Cliff notes edition.
