The Reign of Stupidiots
Bush and the RW'ers have:

Put a guy who said the UN doesn't exist in the UN.

Given the right to give voting machines to Diebold, and these machines have revealed to be heavily faulty.

Given a guy who advertised one his campaigns by saying he was threatened with Contempt by refusing to desegregate the school system of his state the position of Attorney General. (John Ashcroft)

What next? Will they let a trophy hunter be the head of a Wildlife Protection Agency?

I know Ayn Rand is not popular here on DU, but her book 'Anthem' describes exactly where we are headed.

6. 'Anthem' is one of my favorite books.
I've read it so many times I almost know it by heart. Rand is not one of my favorite authors/persons for a number of reasons, but 'Anthem' is one of the most intriguing books ever written, IMHO. And the message cannot be denied, whether you go along with Rand's "philosophy" or not.

7. Anthem tells a very possible cautionary tale
Rand wasn't one of the greatest writers ever, but she really nailed it with Anthem.

One of the most memorable descriptions, I thought, was that of the town elders standing around their greatest invention: the candle.

We are SO headed there. :scared:

2. Sounds more criminal than stupid to me.
Don't let 'em lower your expectations. Have you read Sun Tsu?

3. You forgot...
Making an industrial rights advocate Secretary of the Interior,
Appointing a proponent of torture and illegal immigration Attorney General,
Promoting a National Security advisor who allowed the most horrific attack on American soil to Secretary of State,

If I had the time - I could just keep going.
