Furthmore, funerals are always held AFTER cremation.

The parents and brother will be opening a theme park next to the hospice... reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Ned builds the theme park to 'honor' his late wife.

So that will be another State funeral, and lots of stories about Grace Kelly,e tc., plastered all over the news. I'm not being ghoulish, but between John Paul II and Prince Rainer, Mrs. Schiavo's funeral(s) will hopefully get scant airplay. As they should.

54. Not always. Depends on the family. Just like any other funeral.

My friend Jean (Catholic) was laid out for 3 days with visitation and then cremated. They never held a memorial. Another friend held service for her husband with the ashes sitting next to his picture. And my husband and his brother got to see his mother before the cremation but the service was held while she was in the oven. Her ashes won't be released for a few more weeks. In Holland, they hold the ashes until the equivalent of probate is over so that any family dispute over the cremains will have been settled.

I think the animosity overload has diminished credibility for the Shindlers, especially given the embellishment of a now litany of "perceived wrongs" by leaving out pertinent details.
