And now, we return to the normal "programming"...
or propaganda. The Schiavo matter and the death of the Pope have diverted the propagandists from their predictable progamming for the last two or three weeks. Once the Pope is laid to rest, we should expect a return to "normalcy". Karl, Dick, Bill, and Dubya have been chomping at the bits to get back to their jobs of tormenting Democrats. :)

1. oh, i think we have week before we return to the 'normal' . In some ways
some of the cable (msnbc) has had some good history. I especially like their coverage of the Pope in Poland and his role in getting the masses/labor all riled up. Can't give all the credit to Reagan for the beginnings of the fall in Communism.

3. They Haven't Milked The Pope Enough Yet
One reason Raygun was so diefied by corporate media was there was so much stuff archived on him. An acquaintance at CBS told me two years before Ronnie left the planet that there was a room filled with reports and special and other video bits ready to flood the airwaves...and sure enough it was.

I expect the same with the Pope. This event is also ideal for the lazy corporate media since everything that comes up will be pretty scripted and "video friendly". It appears the U.S. Catholic church has gotten wise and flooded the cable channels with their spokespeople that, while not my cup of tea, are far more pleasant on the ears than the usual paid pundits.

Remember, the College Of Cardinals won't meet until 9 days after the Pope's funeral, and that's plenty of time for corporate media to find all sorts of mischief to create...speculating and "pontificating". Soon we'll all be experts on which Cardinals are in the running and throw their names around like we've known them for years.

This regime is content in the mindbending and numbing their corporate operatives are conducting. While you watch the right hand, no one watches what the left one is doing.
