My gratitude to the Democrats today.

Well, a few months ago I was pretty mad that the democrats didn't come out in force behind Davis' battle against the recall. I am glad to see that Feinstein and the Dem nominees are out here getting involved.

Before anyone starts, it doesn't matter who started what and when. It only matters that its getting done.

I think that many were blindsided by the fact that the recall went through and was NOT blocked given the blatant illegalities of those promoting the recall by bringing in out of staters to create it.

I think many counted on the courts upholding the law as far as that aspect was concerned. I also think many were CONFUSED as to the enforcement of the recall results (i.e. many had an interpretation that Bustamante would succeed Davis..which I might add was a case that even Ron George the Repub Chief Justice of the California SC wanted to hear)

I DO think national Dems could have helped out sooner...I have NO complaints regarding state Dems.

I really think our state party has done much to piss off the BFEE including Davis who takes a great deal of shit on this board despite the fact that he is the ONLY governor who had the guts to continue to challenge Bush while Bush was still riding high on popularity from 9/11...which further leads me to believe that nothing short of anarchy will make at least a FEW posters on this board happy.
