Ha! Drudge bitching about 'Sin City'.
I guess he's pissed that its #1 this week, the week the Pope died, & in the film a Cardinal is a canibal in league with a serial killer who reads the bible & theres a cross in every scene. Matt's also turned on, er,I mean...upset over Bruce Willis ripping a man's penis off. (Oh come on! Drudge HAS to find a way to work the penis angle in there some how)

1. Poor Drudge
He's contextually challenged.

First of all, the Catholic Church never actually dealt with their pedophile priests. Cannibal Priests? Not that big of a stretch. If the glove does fit, don't you dare aquit! ;-)

I'm not sure there is a cross in every scene...but the main body of the film featured a character with a sideways cross shaped scar on his forehead so maybe there is.

And as for ripping off a (cartoon) man's penis...is Drudge saying that isn't a good punishment for a serial child molestor?

What a fuck up Drudge is.

2. My question is
Where was he we SIN CITY the graphic novel(s) came out? WHy wasn't he bitching about Frank Miller then? Only NOW when it gets some attention does Matt get upset! I heard from a freidn that Matt was going off on this film last night on his radio show, yet he hasn't seen it.

3. He seems to not have a problem with the novel, but that the film is #1
the week of the Pope's death (yeah, like the studio could have predicted it or something). But I guess that didn't stop him from seeing the film...

5. I don't get it
Is Drudge Catholic?

I am sick of non-catholic's grieving for the Pope anyhow. I don't mind the criticism as much as the fake fawning by the non Catholic christian right in this country. Many WASP's have major problems with Vaticans' teachings and the Pope wasn't very flattering of maerican materialism. He thought this was a greater threat to the world than Communism.

That Tom DeLay press release on Saturday was embarassing. The Pope would not have kind words for that man anyhow. The politics of this great man's death sickens me.

9. I have no idea
whether he's Catholic. I have doubts if he's even human.

6. Yeah, the studio
filmed it, edited, stuffed it in the can and said "hey, release this when the pope dies."

Doesn't Drudge have some crotch to sniff?

4. Don't you hate
when people bitch about something they haven't even seen?

That's a personal pet peeve of mine!

It was ok when it was just a graphic novel. Those are just comics for aging geeks you know. But OMG it's hit mainstream theatres. Time to bitch! </sarcasm>

8. I'll say my piece on this again.
I saw Sin City opening night here in DC Friday.

That movie was fucked up.

I hadn't read the graphic novel, and wasn't familiar with the material which it was allegedly extremely faithful to, so I didn't really know what I was getting myself into.

But I'm a big fan of QT and Rodriguez's movies and am no pulp prude, or easily turned off by violence.

I thought Kill Bill was one of the best things I've ever seen.

That said, this movie was pretty desensitizing and disturbing, and with very little in the way of redeeming qualities.

To say it was dark would be akin to saying that the sun is light.

It was extremely entertaining, well-acted, incredibly well shot and put together, and overall was a great movie.

But it made me feel like washing my brain out with Clorox.
