AAR News
I like the new AAR news. It seems more like I would envision AAR news to be.

I don't know if it is new, but it seems like it.

1. It is new
They used to use CNN radio news. It was pure crap, as you can imagine. Like last week, the announcer said that Jeb Bush was trying "to save" Terri S. I think the new news service is AP news. Lots better.

2. We've always had AAR news at the top of the hour
Who's been getting CNN instead?

3. Here in Seattle
It used to be CNN radio news. The newsreader clearly said that. Now the news feed is from AP. I think the change was made April 1. I never understood why at least this local AAR station used a news feed from CNN radio news.

CNN news, they don't air AA news. I HATE IT! I turn the channel at the top of every hour for about 10 mins then go back. Hearing CNN and not watching really opens your eyes to their bias. They always have sound bites of repukes speaking, but only tell you what the Dems response was.

4. Depends how you listen. Local affiliates can air whatever they want.

For example, I get a "Wall Street Journal Report" when I listen on Sirius, which I never hear when I stream over the 'net.

I'm not sure if that is a top of the hour dealie, but it's an example.

Another example is how some broadcasters only take some of the AAR shows and substitute their own local leftie talent.

8. I think AAR in Memphis still has CNN Radio News
I'll have to try to catch it this evening after I get off work, but I think it's still CNN here. They had a report last night announcing that Shrub was awarding the first (?) Medals of Honor for his war, so naturally as they started to play a soundbite of Shrub's remarks I turned the radio off immediately. (I can't stand to hear him speak. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me.)
