Harold Ford Jr. on Washington Journal now.
And - for all you "Oh, he's a DLCer. Boo." types, uhhh, thus far, he's popping Bush left and right.
To wit: "Bush's SS plan doesn't add up. If you're going to have to borrow two trillion dollars to make this work, why not just put it into SS and make it solvent for several more decades?"
And...
"If the president's budget is to be believed, SS would be fixed. You can't have it both ways. You can't say you're going to reduce the debt as much as he says his budget will do and then say that SS needs fixing."

I had high hopes for him before I saw him in action.

He can be a nasty DLC'r and cut throat against any "liberal" cause when it suits his perceived political aspirations.

I am hoping for better from Obama.

conservatism around me that I think he was kicking Repub ass, myself.

We don't see that too much around here.
