"Yush-chen-ko! Yush-chen-ko! Yush-chen-ko!"
Edited on Wed Apr-06-05 10:49 AM by paineinthearse
Morons!

Some group of idiots were shouting out "Yush-chen-ko! Yush-chen-ko! Yush-chen-ko!" at the start and end of his speech to the joint session of Congress.

So much for the dignety of the Congress.

I'm writing my rep to determine who the cheerleaders were. Probably the same idiots who dipped their fingers in blue ink for the state of the union speech.

p.s. Noticed that many Dem seats were empty.

1. Yushchenko did a good job and enjoyed watching his speech
I don't know why the dem seats were empty but I enjoyed his speech.

I hope everyone chants Kerry! Kerry! Kerry! when the revolution happens. I know I will.

Waiting for the IMPEACHMENT WHILE THE SCANDALS KEEP UNFOLDING

3. Yep
I've noticed how the republican people are so immature. Oy. I've never seen so many people immature like that. You know if it was us doing something like that we'd be hearing about it on every talk show. And I agree. I think if someday we are able to impeach Bush that Kerry should be involved to impeach him and trial him. :D I can imagine it now.

2. Um - what exactly is your objection
to Yuschenko? Is it this kneejerk thing that anyone who is friendly to US is automatically suspect?

4. My problem is their attitudes
If they are chanting like it's a baseball game that's what's wrong with me. This is supposed to be our government. They're supposed to be professionals and representing us. What if someone from another country was watching this on CSPAN or something?

5. Have you ever seen other countries' parliaments?
Britain, for example? Germany? Italy? Taiwan?

There are boos, catcalls, and sometimes fistfights. US House and Senate are among the most decorous elected assemblies out of all the countries I have seen (right ater UK House of Lords). I think your concern is misplaced.

6. Wherer DO they keep the walruses in the House of Lords?
The ones you hear going "RWAAAAAARRR!" during speeches.

Gawd forbid that something as important as THE LAW be conducted in a less than reverent manner...

Once upon a time, the Sgt.-at-Arms actually EARNED his pay the HARD way.
