4. I never know what to do at a Catholic funeral
When they kneel I just sit still.

7. I believe it is appropriate to sit
That is what I was told at one time when I was visiting a church.

8. that's the correct thing to do if you're not Catholic
you're not expected to do all that stuff if you don't know why you're doing it.

20. The #1 thing to know when attending a Catholic wake
is when you see the priest coming in, leave the room immediately. He's going to say the rosary, and once he starts, you're stuck there for a while.

25. HAHAHA!!
You are so right! You see the priest come in, get the hell out - or you will be stuck there for at least 45 minutes.

5. You know that shrubby is gonna ask poppy
for one of those pretty dressed guys with feathers on his head holding swords for his protection. He is easily bored with the men in black.

24. Carter should be there.
But apparently it was more appropriate to bring the Bush Toadies instead of a truly Christian leader along (not only does Carter talk the talk - he also walks the walk.)

Here's the latest on the snub from MSNBC: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7403576/

There's also a link to the recent poll - 78% think that Bush snubbed Carter.

Maybe we ought to send him to check in bodies as they arrive in the States-maybe he would close the war.

Is the Pope...a man of peace and love and here's Bush - a man of killing and war... And no Carter - that's disgraceful... I would love for the Pope's ghost to make an appearance and scream at Bush...

15. Why is Andy Card a part of this delegation?
They took Andy Card over President Carter?? I thought it was limited to 5?

I find these little juvenile games played by the Bush camp to be highly offensive, particularly at an event like this.

:grr:

22. although catholics some times cover their faces with their hands while
Edited on Wed Apr-06-05 05:15 PM by flordehinojos
they are praying, it struck me horrendously absurd, funny, out of place, that the minute Poppy got into the kneeler he put his hands to his face and buried his face in them ... while it might have been an act of prayer (and I believe that prayers etc in Poppy's, Mommy's and the rest of the bushes lives are a pretend meaningless form of hypocrisy) it struck me that in the burying of his face in his hands, POPPY might have been saying to himself, I DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS. I MAY BE NEXT. OLD AGE IS CATCHING UP WITH ME TOO. HELP! HELP! GET ME OUT OF HERE! and then Laura leaned over to the bushler boy, whispered something to his ear, and they started to move on out of there...AND CONDOLIAR LICE, I noticed, took her place at the end of the line FAR AND AWAY FROM LAURA AND THE BUSH BOY ... so that PICKLES, POPPY AND CLINTON stood as barriers between the bush boy and CONDOLIAR and acted as barriers between them and any gossip people might have otherwise been wanting to SPREAD about the TWO of them ... or, perhaps they might have been trying to hide their peccadilloes not only from the viewing public BUT ALSO from "POPE JOHN PAUL NUMBER TWO" as POPPY referred to him earlier this week, as well as from the rest of the SPIRITUAL SPOOKY WORLD waiting in turn to take JOHN PAUL on angel wings to his SPIRITUAL HOME.

The USA delegation to which Chris Matthews referred as a moment of honor which every American had been waiting for, looked, in my misunderstimation like a line from SEND IN THE CLOWNS!

23. Absolute disgrace.
What the hell is up with Clinton and this band of criminals? Why are he and Poppy seemingly inseparable?

And Card? Who invited him? Can't chimp's daddy and Clinton keep him from screwing up too badly?

Leaving Carter home is a travesty. He's the only former President who has devoted his Post-Presidential life primarily to public service. He's a truly religious man and a nobel Laureate. Chimp is petty, mean-spirited, and jealous.
