I'm getting older and time is running out
Us adults need to do whatever we have to do to remove this cancer in the executive branch of our government. We could start by writing and phoning our representatives and the CEOs, let them know that if we have to do it for them there will be hell to pay, that there will be no place for them. That we will not tolerate their behavior any longer. Our children deserve no less. I personally don't have the answers but collectively we could arrive at a solution to this. I have faith.

1. Personally I think it needs to get ugly
I don't think we'll get anywhere until we are willing to take to the streets. And I don't see any number of people who are willing to do that . . . yet.

More people will have to starve, die in Iraq or have their reproductive rights stolen for this to happen. When it does, I'll be there.

2. I hope it doesn't have to come to that, Demnan.
But we have to at least be just as loud and annoying as the Republicans. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, after all.

4. I know how you feel Ironpost, but consider this..
We have fought our battles, some wins some losses. For me it's hard to just sit back and let others do the fighting. But the reality is, I am not getting any younger. Sometimes it's hard to see what is, and let others take-up the torch.

I'll try to fight this one through, but I don't have much left.

5. Murka contains a huge number of delusional
wack jobs. It also contains a huge number of apathetic, contended, ignorant comfortable, complacent fools. They are being masterfully manipulated by the neotheocons. Collectively, we are a dysfunctional family in which only a few of us even want to get "well."

I think we have to hit bottom before we can make positive changes.

I think it's gonna get violent and ugly.

Things will get worse before they get better.

7. Well said. There are way too many who think they're "winning"
The wack jobs are off the reservation, but it's the comfortable folks who can't be bothered who let this go on, and I don't know how much slack I can give these folks for being misinformed, when by now only the willing deluded could not have noticed something is wrong.

We don't turn the corner until Republicans start leaving the party in droves. Real news will start to return when the comfortable, well-paid reporters at corporate news have to wade through masses of protesters to get to work.

8. I feel the same way
If i were twenty years younger, I'd be a firebrand lighting things up, as it is I'm doing good just to keep on my feet. I don't know how much of a firebrand one can be from a wheelchair, but, I'm thinking I'm going to be finding out, and soon.

It's going to get nasty and ugly, I have no patience left for the fools who can't be bothered to do nothing but sit on the sidelines taking what they get.

It's already getting nasty and very uncivil here in missouri, the legislature in effect have killed medicaid, when a democratic rep likened it to culling the herd, the reptiles started making animal noises, sick bastards.
