2. web bots are these intelligent agent software critters
geo ure has a much more complete description of these amazing software domahickeys....they scour and sniff the internet and then this fellow who works with geo (the think tank) and his group do this language analysis thing that results in immediate future prognostications. These bots predicted 911. They predicted the anthrax. They predicted that plane that went down shortly after 911. They predicted the details about the dc sniper. They predicted the power black out.....

they were in correct in some of the details but it makes sense as to why they were wrong......

go look to urbansurvival's menu and choose the 'latest bot' stuff..
it is under the
"reader services" menu, latest bot output....he also has much discussion about these critters as well as explanations as to how they work....

too bad it is sooo expensive to run them as it would be really damn interesting to see what they think about Gen. Clark.

When asked in early July who would be president next time....the bots came back and said that the next president was not yet running in July.....tres intersting....

4. I found this interesting

You may recall that the Kuwaitis were slant drilling (sideways drilling) across the border. If Saddam really had gobs of oil, be would have gone ballistic, angry yes but invasion no. As the bots have it, there wasn't much left up north. The loss of any oil would have tipped off the big lie.

The Bush administration appears to be about to "hit the rocks" over oil in Iraq. The danger the administration faces is that if the word leaks out of the Iraq shortfall, before Bush SR. and the Mobil/Exxon and CheveronTexaco parties can buy long term oil from Russia, the whole Western derivatives pyramid will come crashing down and our markets could be toast within 2 weeks...

You name it and the market players were buzzing Thursday about the real reasons behind the former American leader's visit - an $18 billion play by U.S. oil giant CheveronTexaco for a blocking stake in the new Yukos-Sibneft combo? The launch of a $500 million private tie-up between Alfa Group and Pentagon-connected Carlyle Group? Divving up the hydrocarbon resources of postwar Iraq?

Looks to us like the Russians may try to replace OPEC's power - and they'll do it for cash and Loans!

5. If this is the case, we will drop Iraq like a hot potato
We're spending billions to protect our oil barrons and their greed over there. But, if it's not what it was cracked up to be, Bush is going to drop these poor bastards fast. Put guns into the hands of a militia, do a fast election and leave and tell them it's "their problem" and tell us that he "fixed it; it's great and now we can come home and celebrate our great victory".

7. If this is the case, why would Bush ask for 87
bil, would it be because he needs to pay off Hali and Exxon for their trouble. If Poppy knows, sure others in admin know also. Maybe the french and germans know as well, eh? maybe that is why we are so willing to compromise on the suggestions of the french to turn it all over to governing council? very very interesting. what are the russians doing under the covers with saudi arabia. why are we going to veto the un vote on Arafat. why why why why why, i got a million of em.

9. Isn't this similar to what happened in Afghanistan?
As I recall, there were these grandiose plans to build a continuous pipeline to ships in the gulf but then either the reserves weren't there or it was buried too deep in the rocks to get to. That's why we lost interest so quickly in our reconstruction efforts there.

Anyone care to jump in on this one since my memory is so fuzzy?

10. No, Kazakhstan has the reserves
It's that we can't possibly keep the pipeline secure. Disgruntled warlords and leftover Taliban will keep sabotaging it-- much like the Iraqi oilfield infrastructure.

Most public accounts of petroleum reserves are public relations gimmicks. The Sauds keep pumping, but the reserves they claim hasn't changed enough to accommodate their sales. See http://www.dieoff.com
