After Bush usurped power in 2000,we saw, for the first time, the true
face of American Fascism that the rest of the world has seen for many decades.Concocting stories and planting them in compliant media of other countries, bribing public officials, falsifying election results, conducting demonstration elections have been routine for our officials in other countries. Our propagandist media were always on hand to provide the high sounding cover of Democracy and Freedom whenever the local population proved restive as in Chile or Nicaragua.

Now that these techniques have finally come home, we are beginning to see what the people of the world have been saying for a long time. That behind the mask of smiling American faces there is a ruthless drive to impoverish the rest of the world by appropriating their resources for the benefit of our greedy fascists. This scam is now breaking and that is the reason for the murderous rampage in Iraq and Afghanistan.

There is a precedent for all this in our own history. The genocidal wars waged against Native Americans was also passed off as a necessary war to civilize the savages for Christianity. The same tactic is now being used to demonize the Arabs/Muslims so that we can seize their oil resources in an ever hungry world starved for energy.
The killing of over 100,000 people in Iraq may well be a message to the Muslims that nothing can stop our rampage to control their oil.

When all else fails, we can rely on xenophobia, racism and religious fanaticism to do the dirty work for us.Thay are the tried and true MO of American Imperialism.

Albeit because Reagan could form a coherent sentence (among other things) it wasn't quite as thinly-veiled as this mostr recent bout, which is hardly veiled, if at all.

As far as I'm concerned, neo-fascism in 'Murika started with the so-called War on Drugs, which was used as a constitutional crow bar to begin hammering away our civil liberties.

That's the ONLY thing the WoD has accomplished, other than destroying the lives of millions of people under the guising of 'helping' them. :grr:

2. Radio host Thom Hartmann said something very similar...
he expressed the view that * being 'elected' may actually be a good thing in the long run, because it ripped the mask off and revealed the true nature of the American right.

4. This is also the first time in my memory that someone running for
election to the highest office of the land did not even make the necessary pretense to being concerned about the well being of the people he is supposed to represent.None of the issues like health care, economic growth, reduction in crime, education appeared to concern him and yet, he received a pass from about 51% of the population,if the count was accurate.

5. Because that 51%
Are clueless morons, who don't follow the issues, and don't care anyway. God, guns, gays, that's the Repuke line. And the idiots who buy into that line, are generally the people that the damn Republicans hurt the worst.

3. Before, during and after December, 2004 when * stole the election,
my elderly uncle had been incessantly warning me about American fascism and the signs. At first, it sounded almost paranoiac. By September 11, 2004, we were on the same page. Right after 9-11, he called me and asked if I recognized history repeating itself. I replied "Reichstag fire, Berlin, 1933?" and he agreed.

I wondered about the German citzenry during the Third Reich, how many of them were participants, passive enablers, and those more or less held hostage by the system. I now have a better idea since we are all Germans now.
