1. Right, this was talked about on Randi Rhodes show yesterday...
...where she had Scott Ritter on as her guest. Scary stuff! The Chimp is out-of-control.

2. Thanks for the link..
I can't say it made me feel good but it was plenty informative. I don't think the country can last through 4 more years of this administration...

3. About the only thing that would stop an Iranian invasion
would be for the US troops to ignore the orders. They'd have to be pissed about things like over-extentions of tours of duty, cuts in Veteran's compensation, yadda yadda.

5. I don't think we'll invade Iran
The fact that everybody thinks we're going to invade Iran makes me think we're NOT going to invade Iran. Call me naive, but I think the Iraq quagmire has made Bush realize the USA cannot win wars in the Middle East without a huge impacdt on the federal budget. I believe U.S. troops will be withdrawn in significant numbers from Iraq within 2 years, but ONLY because Washington policymakers know we cannot afford to keep our troops there (except about 20,000 on the 14 military bases).

Iraq has already cost more in current dollars than either the Civil War or World War I. It is about to pass the Korean War. We are on pace to pass Vietnam in two or three years.

Twenty years of the Vietnam war cost U.S. taxpayers $584 billion. Two years of Iraq has already cost $300 billion. See link….

In today's dollars, World War II cost $2.9 trillion. Economist Warwick McKibbin, a board member of the Australian central bank, said a conflict lasting to 2010 could cost more than $3.5 trillion.

I think Greenspan and the powers-that-be are telling Bush to STOP!
