Public Promise

In the past I have contributed consistently and vigorously to the Democratic Party…Tonight I publicly state….They have seen the last dollar(s) from me. I am now politically homeless and looking for a movement.

If any of you know of, hear of or are interested in a new party...please let me know.

Good luck to you. Most of my green friends voted this time for Kerry because of the extremist and hostile nature of Bush. So cast your vote with caution. There are only so many (few) options out there.

of Martin Luther King. This time though I hope he comes from out of a new and reenergized labor movement. We seriously need to do a general strike in this country and we need the leadership that isn't afraid to do it. I cannot think of a single leftie right now that has that kind of charisma. Paul Wellstone maybe could have if he had lived. Maybe that is what THE OTHERS were afraid of.

That's what's happening and it cuts across the board. It would take targeting the Corporate asses like Walmart at first. The rest of us would have to pull together to help the strikers, with money, food, medicine and whatever it would take to keep the srikers from being homeless.

But this would take a leader to keep everyone on the same page. What if we targeted, the corporations who routinely give the most to the GOP. We could start with Walmart and then target the biggest bank, the biggest transportation company, the biggest construction company, all the oil companies. Anywhere that production or other activities can be shut down would make a huge impact if done all at once.

But we need a leader. Where is Jimmy Hoffa when we need him. Yes, he was corrupt but he kept the Teamsters at the top of their game during his era. I would prefer someone more honest though, but with the same ability to wheel and deal and rally crowd.

The upside of this is they may hire undocumented workers. Then they could be nailed for breaking the law as well.
