Eggs found inside dinosaur fossil
BBC

A dinosaur that died just before it was about to lay two eggs has been found by an international team of scientists.

The creature, which lived 65-98 million years ago, was discovered in China's Jiangxi Province.

The fossilised remains comprise little more than a pelvis with the shelled eggs still viewable in the body cavity.

Tamaki Sato and colleagues tell Science magazine the dinosaur's reproductive system shares similarities with both primitive reptiles and modern birds.

God planted the fossils there sometime late on the fourth day. It's got to do with scientician stuff that we shouldn't bother our pretty little heads with. Just enlist and/or donate.

2. It Was Only Laying Two Eggs?
Somehow I thought of dinosaurs as laying a whole brood all at once, like sea turtles. I guess it depends on the species.

I'm just amazed at what keeps coming out of the ground. So many finds. A lot of them in China nowdays.

7. Such a small brood lends itself to a lot of interpretation
For example, a small brood suggests fewer young, which suggests more care is taken with the young.

If one were to pick up the speculative ball and run with it, this would seem to mesh with other theories that dinosaurs may have lived in small groups -- perhaps even social groups. (IIRC, they've found clusters of fossils that suggest groups of some dinosaurs lived together).

12. Dinosaurs
It's becoming more and more obvious that dinosaurs were very birdlike - in physical structure, appearance and probably, by extension, behaviour too.

17. Mammalian predators do, but not always reptilian ones
I think alligators lay a lot of eggs (over 20 at at time), for example.
