Root Boy Slim Speaks out on George Bush
"Legendary" booze/drug blues shouter Root Boy Slim, who was in Bush's fraternity at Yale is captured here, briefly summing up all that is President Dumbass. The Root died long before scumbo even thought of running for pretzeldent, so his comments are all the more meaningful, lacking the immediacy of campaign rhetoric.

It IS a shame that he wasn't around at the time of the first theft, because I'm sure he'd have had much much more to say

go here, and click on the part below his picture, which is what's contained in the thread header

RBS: I'm a fraternity brother of George Bush and....I wasn't in Skull and Bones though....you know Skull and Bones is a secret society. I was in a different one. But his son was there when I was there. What a stuffed shirt he was. Is asshole one of the words you can't say on the radio?

Who is Root Boy Slim?

One great album, his first, and an amazing live performer. Seriously

1. Interestingly, that geekbox site links to two topics of occasionally
high interest here:

http://www.pnar.org/edmonds.htm
Sibel Edmonds, with some good sources included....nothing new, but a decent repository

also, Plame

this site has over a hundred different links; another good central resource

2. "... amazing live performer."
Couldn't agree more. I saw him three times at the Grog and Tankard in DC. He was just off the scale.

I always stood at the front. Once, he pointed me out to the crowd as the inventor of LSD. The crowd cheered.

I wish so much I could see him again.

3. A legendary performer
I saw the Root a few times myself, always a great show.

I got to hang out backstage at the Roxy for the record release of "Don't Let This Happen To You". The Root was sitting, sweating and shirtless on a grimy beat up couch telling road stories.

One story Root told was about how he was on stage when a monitor fell and hit him on the head, he was bleeding but didn't feel anything because "I was all fucked up!"

I'll never forget that night as long as I live.

On another note, can anyone help a brother with a dub of "Dog Secrets"???

Boogie Till Ya' :puke:
