Republicans Hate Earth Day
It's coming soon, the day that makes Rush "Pigboy" Limbaugh grumpy enough to down fist fulls of Oxcycontin, the day that Faux News would rather ignore, the day that sends Ann "The Man" Coulter into a right wing tizzy, the day that gives Tom DeLay the shivers, the day that republicans hate the most - Earth Day. Most republicans cant even say the words "Earth Day" without an evil, sarcastic, vicious sneer. Does anyone know why do the republicans hate the environment so much? What do they have against trees? Why don't they like wilderness areas, rivers, streams, clean air and clean water? President Bush will go down in history as not only the dumbest, most corrupt, war mongering President ever, he will also go down as the environmental Anti-Christ. These are truly sad days in America. It is up to us as loyal Americans and good Democrats to take a stand. Why? Because we love this country, despite what the conservative evangelicals, hate radio pundits, Faux News, and the neocons in Congress say about us. We just want to leave the remaining forests, pristine wilderness areas, streams, rivers and lakes for the next generation to enjoy. We'd like for the next generation to know that we protected the Grizzly Bear, Moose, Wolves, Bald Eagles and Mountain Lions so that they wouldn't have to visit a Zoo to see these wonderful animals. We want the next generation to see that we Democrats did care about global warming and deforestation of the tropical rain forests. Yes, the republicans surely do hate Earth Day. And it's a shame.........

3. Yep
I'll probably spend Earth day just enjoyin the beauty of my state and sending some positive energy to the Earth. We all know the Earth needs it. Sometimes if you sit and meditate outside you can feel the mother earth is beaten up from people who don't care about nothing but oil.

9. The RW Hate the Earth Because
they arrogantly believe that they will all go to heaven and watch all "Left Behinders" burn in hell. Earth is just a temporary place for these mofos. So they will f*** it, burn it, abuse it, etc. as they like.

10. Earthday has nothing to do with Jesus, therefor it is stupid
OK, Earthday was just kind of made up and is kind of lame, but it never hurts to have a day to reitterate what we can do to save the environment. If Rush and all of them can't see any value in that at all, then that's too bad.

11. The wisdom of Ann Coulter
"God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.'" -- Ann Coulter on Hannity & Colmes, 6/20/01

14. Coulter
Tranny Ann is partially correct; I do believe man has dominion over the Earth, but not to destroy, pollute and rape it.

Rather we are to care for, preserve and maintain it as a good steward would.

It was a gift and we haven't done a very good job of caring for it. :grr:

12. Funny 'cause Republicans I know who like environment HATE Bushco
If the stupid divide and conquer issues weren't carefully manipulated upon the American people in the last election, Bush would have lost by the largest landslide in history. His cronies fought a viscious battle and won - but at what cost?

16. Those SICK bastards are anti-marriage
It's my wedding anniversary. April 22nd 2000, and a Republican wasn't president-oh how long ago that was now!

How can so much change in five short years? Oh..but I'm still married. Not that "marriage" per se changed anything for me but since they just invalidated all the Gay Oregon marriages, it made me so SAD. I was ambivalent about marriage. But imagine just wanting to take away someone's happiness and not having the right to get married.

As a quote in the paper said: "Getting married is so hopeful".

Tangent, I know. Earth day is wonderful. I got married outside too. And the sun managed to shine.
