Another Army Res./First Responder Dies in Iraq.....
Edited on Sat Apr-16-05 08:38 AM by leftchick
I am sure there are no statistics on how many police and firefighters in the reserves and NG have died. I have seen many of their photos on yahoo like this one. My cousin is in The Reserves and is a sheriff. He spent 14 months in Iraq and may have to go back again. This is making us safer how?

RIP Christopher... :(

2. The answer to 'how many?' is 'too many',
no matter the number. :(

Thank you for the post and pictures.

>>Edward Craver, division chief with the Buffalo Fire Department and a friend of Dill’s father, teared up recalling Dill. Like the military, the emergency services are a close-knit community, he said.

“We are family,” Craver said. “We eat our meals together. We work together.”

A flag bearing a gold star that symbolizes a fallen comrade has been hung in front of Engine 21 memorializing Dill.

“What hits me in the gut is the idea that with this war going on and these young boys over there ... they’re putting their life on the line,” Craver said. “It seems like after a while it just becomes another number and you go on to the next piece of news.”

At Engine 21, Craver said, that won’t happen.<<
