1962 document signed by Ratzinger that order sex abuse to be covered up.
Makes me wonder how long this guy has been running the show.

what a horrid pick.

....................
The document, which has been confirmed as genuine by the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales, is called 'Crimine solicitationies', which translates as 'instruction on proceeding in cases of solicitation'.

It focuses on sexual abuse initiated as part of the confessional relationship between a priest and a member of his congregation. But the instructions also cover what it calls the 'worst crime', described as an obscene act perpetrated by a cleric with 'youths of either sex or with brute animals (bestiality)'.

Bishops are instructed to pursue these cases 'in the most secretive way... restrained by a perpetual silence... and everyone... is to observe the strictest secret which is commonly regarded as a secret of the Holy Office... under the penalty of excommunication'.

1. "how long he's been running the show?"
He signed a 2001 letter by JP2 stating the 1962 document was still in full effect. Nothing to see here.

Cardinal Ratliner is the top cover-up man for the Vatican's child rapists. He is a pedophile. No bones about it. (Even if it's not the same Ratzinger in the article.)

The new Pope was even the guy calling the shots during the Franklin Cover-up. You know...The "Gannon Wrinkles."

28. Please read:
Pedophilia is a crime.

When you assist a murderer, you are a murderer (an accessory after the fact). When you assist a pedophile, you are a pedophile (an accessory after the fact).

The Rat Pope is an extremely active pedophile. He's a professional pedophile. He's been assisting other pedophiles for decades. He keeps them in hiding. He promotes them. He protects them.

He is a pedophile.

This is very simple stuff and a matter of record.

What happens if it was with little fuzzy kitty cats though. Gahhhhhh.

10. Please correct yourself...
Ratzinger did not sign the 1962 document, and had nothing to do with it.

He wrote the 2001 affirmation that the 1962 document was still in effect.

Let's get our facts straight, okay?

13. He signed off on it 2001.
Edited on Tue Apr-19-05 10:57 PM by underthedome
I'm not sure what the contention is. I think the fact he signed off on it in 22001 when it was clearly known to be a major problem is just as bad as the original letter if not worse.

23. You damn right. He had almost 40 years to consider the wisdom of it
Edited on Wed Apr-20-05 12:12 AM by NNN0LHI
And he still signed the damn thing. That is 40 times worse as far as I am concerned. I can't believe we have people here defending someone who tried to hide the crimes of priests having sex with children and animals. What is this world coming to?

20. While I appreciate all these links and stories
Honestly, what can we do about it now?
Other than leave the Church, which I did in 2000 after being told to vote for Dear Leader (which I thought was rather odd, at the time. Bush hates Catholics).

25. so lemme see if I got this straight (no pun intended) . . .
homosexuality is an intrinsic moral evil . . . yet priests who engage in homosexual conduct -- with children, no less -- are to be protected by covering up their actions and transferring them to new parishes . . .

silly me . . . I'd have thought that if homosexuality is really an intrinsic moral evil, it would be logical that these priests be excommunicated, or at least de-frocked . . . guess this guy believes that protecting the Church from scandal is more imporant . . . and that's really all I need to know about him . . .
